Coach Development

Our club is only as strong as the volunteer coaches and manages who develop our players. Our goal is to provide an environment in which our young players can improve their skills and develop as 'better coaches produce better players'.

We actively encourage our players and parents to undertake coach development courses. Throughout the year we will run a number of in-house sessions, particularly for those who are new to coaching or new to football.

The Northern Football Federation, our regional body, run a range of coach development programmmes (below left) for coaches who are looking to advance to a higher level. For more information on course content and dates please check out the link below.Northern Football is dedicated to provide coaches in our region with a high quality, holistic learning experience that in turn will enhance a players experience and development in the game. Our Coach education programme provides coaches with access to New Zealand Football’s community and advanced coach education pathway courses as well as informal development opportunities in the form of bite-sized workshops focusing on a range of topics including Injury Prevention, Game Analysis, Small Sided Games and Skill Acquisition.

New Zealand Football, our national body, have developed a national curriculum (below right) that will be the tool that can assist both the novice and experienced coach in improving themselves, their players and ultimately their teams’ performance.

Thank you to all our club Sponsors & Supporters. Please support them as they support our football.
