Junior and Youth Grade Trials - 2018

2018 9th to 12th Grades Development Squads

During February 2018 we will be holding trials to select the development squads for the Grades 9th and 12th to undertake a 5 week pre-season training programme. The development squad pre-season training will be funded by a user pays levy and details of the additional fee levied (additional to the normal membership fee) will be supplied to those selected.

These trials are ONLY for players who wish to play football in the top teams within these grades and play at an Elite level within the NFF leagues.

The trials will be run by the Club and controlled by the Director of Football (DOF).

A high level of football skill is required as a pre-requisite to attend; along with a commitment to train at least twice a week, play on Sundays around Auckland and attend tournaments, where applicable.

The DOF will then make the final decision on team selection. Final team announcements will be made by late March following the pre-season training programme. The season starts on 7th April 2018.

The dates for the Development Squad trials will be as follow:

11th Grade - for those players born in 2007 = Sunday 18th February : 3 – 4.30pm
12th Grade - for those players born in 2006 = Sunday 18th February : 5 – 6.30pm
9th Grade - for those players born in 2009 = Sunday 25th February : 3 – 4.30pm
10th Grade - for those players born in 2008 = Sunday 25th February : 5 – 6.30pm

2018 Trials for Boys Metro 13th and 14th Grade teams

During February 2018 we will be holding trials for the Youth Metro Boys 2018 teams for Grades 13th and 14th.
These trials are ONLY for players to play football in the top team within these grades and play at an Elite level within the Metro league.
A high level of football skill is required as a pre-requisite to attend; along with a commitment to train at least twice a week, play on Sundays around Auckland and attend tournaments, where applicable.

The Director of Football (DOF) will then make the final decision on team selection
The dates for the Metro team trials will be as follow:

13th Grade - for those players born in 2005 = Monday 12th February : 4.45pm
14th Grade - for those players born in 2004 = Monday 12th February : 6.30pm

All players should trial within their own grade, unless advised by the DOF.

Players must be registered for the 2018 season with BUAFC in order to be selected and named within a development squad. Registrations for the 2018 season will open at beginning of February. Please check the club website and Facebook for further details.

We are committed to continuing to improve the level of coaching at the Club. Where the Club is able to provide a suitably qualified non-parent coach for any team, there will be an additional fee levied on players in that team to cover the expenses of this coach.
Trials for our 2018 Girls teams and the social teams in the 9th to 12th Grades will be held in March 2018 (subject to member registrations received in February). More information on these will be available at the registrations in February next year.
